A hacker, a soldier, and a spy. All three committed acts of defiance in the name of free information. Ordinarily, that's a cause most journalists would vigorously support, but for much of the media, the relationship with Bradley Manning, Aaron Swartz, and Edward Snowden has been uneasy at best.
