A man, a woman, and two infants were found dead in an Arlington home Monday by police who had been asked to check on the family's well-being.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan says police found the bodies shortly after noon.
"They had been called to the home by a neighbor, another tenant in the house," Ryan said. "Officers were able to make entrance into the apartment. They located four individuals —two adults, two children. Those four individuals have been pronounced dead.”
Neighbors say the children were twins under the age of one. Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan says police are not searching for anyone in connection with the deaths.
“It’s obviously a very troubling event for the community," Ryan said. "There’s an elementary school right here nearby. It’s important for you to get out to your viewers that there is no risk to public safety at this time.”
The cause of the deaths is still under investigation.
