Students are set to return to a Massachusetts school where a math teacher allegedly was killed by a 14-year-old boy.

Classes are to resume this morning at Danvers High School, two days after Philip Chism was charged with murder in the death of 24-year-old math teacher Colleen Ritzer. The school was closed Thursday, but grief counselors were available to students.

Authorities have offered no clues on Chism's alleged motive. They also will not say how Ritzer was killed.

Police and school officials told about 800 parents at a meeting Thursday night there will be extra safety measures to reassure returning students, including locked side doors and more police.

Rabih Chaghouri, whose daughter is a freshman, says he's confident the school is safe. "This could happen in any neighborhood," he says.
