A non-stop running relay from Los Angeles to Boston ended at the finish line of the Boston Marathon in Copley Square just after midnight last night.
The One Run for Boston covered more than 3,000 miles. The fundraiser took in nearly $80,000 for the One Fund Boston to assist victims and families affected by the the bombings at the Boston Marathon on April 15.
Kelly LeCours, of Bradford, Massachusetts, finished the Boston Marathon on the day of the bombings. Last night she ran the relay stretch from from Newton to Boston with several hundred others.
"It's a great support system here," she said. "It''s one big family now crossing the finish line."
