The snowstorm continues to take its toll on the Boston area.

Buses and drivers traveling through Harvard Square are taking detours because of a manhole fire on JFK Street in Cambridge. Residents and businesses in the immediate are are being evacuated as a precaution. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Because of the continuing snowfall, MBTA buses are largely off-schedule, with delays due to traffic and slow driving.

Service on the subway system is relatively smooth. There is a 20 to 25 min delay on the Red Line due to a disabled train at Central Square. Bus service is replacing Mattapan Line trolleys.

The Commuter Rail is experiencing 15 minute delays on some lines, but most lines are running on time.
