Massachusetts is bracing for snow for the third weekend in a row.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch from Saturday afternoon until Sunday afternoon.

Forecasters say a foot could fall in some areas of the state and the expected heavy, wet snow could bring down tree branches on power lines, leading to power outages.

Rain will mix with snow in some areas.

Northeast and north-central areas of the state could get eight inches to a foot, with four to eight inches in the Boston area and less along the South Coast and Cape Cod.

Many roads in the area are still impeded by piles of snow from a storm two weekends ago that dropped more than two feet in some places.
