The Cambridge Women’s Center is marking its 50th anniversary, kicking off a yearlong celebration with 10 days of activities symbolizing the 10-day takeover of a Harvard building, back in 1971. The ten-day occupation, chronicled in the documentary Left on Pearl, led to the creation of the center and a legacy of advocacy for women.
Guests:
Rochelle Ruthchild - One of the founders of the
Cambridge Women’s Center, its second president, and a producer of Left on Pearl.
Judy Norris – full-time volunteer and chair of the Cambridge Women’s Center’s board of trustees.
