For the first time ever, the United States logged more than 100,000 coronavirus cases in a single day.
As we see this milestone, we looked at two sectors of the Massachusetts economy that are being pummeled by the pandemic.
First, we heard from Tony Maws, the chef and owner of Craigie on Main, a restaurant in Cambridge. He's also the communications manager for the group Mass Restaurants United. He talked about how restaurants are continuing to suffer with no end, or help, in sight.
Then, we checked in with Merrie Najimy, the president of the Massachusetts Teachers Association, about the need for a more comprehensive and interconnected set of standards for reopening schools and keeping students and staff safe.
