First, we heard from Dr. Larry Berkowitz, director and co-founder of the Riverside Trauma Center in Needham, about what he's been seeing with patients and those in need of support.
Then, we took a look at how domestic violence and those experiencing it have become even more isolated because of the coronavirus. Victoria Helberg, director of programs and services for domestic violence prevention agency RESPOND Inc, says the hurdles in place for those trying to get away from abusive partners are amplified now.
