Red Sox manager Alex Cora has announced he will not be visiting the White House in the wake of the team’s World Series win, saying that he is frustrated by the lack of recovery progress in Puerto Rico. He joins Mookie Betts, David Price, and several other players of color who also said they will not attend in protest of President Donald Trump. The rest of the team, however, is still planning to go, including team owner John Henry and CEO Sam Kennedy.
Adam Reilly, in for Jim Braude, was joined by Dan Lebowitz, the executive director of Northeastern University’s Center for the Study of Sport in Society, and Tina Opie, associate professor of management at Babson College.
