When families are faced with a cancer diagnosis, they have to contend with not only the extraordinarily high cost of treatment, but also the many other financial hits that can come from one or more breadwinners in the family having to take time off from work. The Joe Andruzzi Foundation, founded by a former Patriots player and his wife, Jen, steps in to help with these unforeseen costs — and they just cut their 10,000th check to help a family in need.
