Meghan Markle and Prince Harry became parents this week and introduced the world to newest member of the royal family, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
This birth holds more significance than just the excitement of having a new royal baby, Archie is the first biracial royal in modern times. Callie Crossley, host of WGBH’s Under The Radar, told Boston Public Radio Friday that this fact should not be taken lightly.
“In terms of where we are in the world, globalism, a wider appreciation of ethnicities, the royal family in general, and what it stood for and what it's become because of the people that are now in it, it is a big deal,” she said.”
Crossley joined Boston Public Radio to discuss the royal baby and more.
