GBH News Special Correspondent Emily Rooney says barely a day goes by when someone doesn’t say to her, “Gee, I wish your dad, Andy Rooney was around to offer some thoughts on what’s been going on this past year.”
Andy, who died in 2011, was an acclaimed writer and columnist best known for his commentaries, "A Few Minutes with Andy Rooney," which appeared at the end of CBS’s “60 Minutes” for over 30 years.
In this recreated conversation, Emily reached out to her dad — through the archives, of course! — and filled him in on what life has been like for the last year, and heard him say some things that will sound very familiar to his longtime fans.
