In "What To Send Up When It Goes Down," theatre-goers are brought into an interactive experience that examines the psychological and emotional toll of structural racism, and invites black attendees to process their responses in a cathartic, communal space.
Jim Braude was joined by Boston Globe Columnist Jeneé Osterheldt, who recently wrote a review of the play, and Deadria Harrington, the producing artistic leader of The Movement Theatre Company, the organization behind the production. The show is running now through Nov. 24 in two places: The Ex at the Loeb Drama Center in Cambridge, and Hibernian Hall in Roxbury’s Dudley Square.
