CNN President Jeff Zucker stepped down this week after admitting to a consensual relationship with a colleague that he failed to disclose — a resignation that could have been easily avoided, media experts told Sue O’Connell on Greater Boston.

“In media and in politics, it's hypocrisy that winds up getting people in the end, isn't it? It's not necessarily the act," said Joanna Weiss, editor-in-chief of Experience Magazine. "I mean, I agree this was an act of questionable judgement at best,” she added.

Zucker was president of CNN for nearly a decade, leaving many to wonder what the future holds for the media giant after his departure.

“It's very unpredictable right now for where they're going to go,” said Justin Baragona, media reporter with The Daily Beast. “Now without Zucker, you're going to have a lot of CNN personalities that are kind of worried about where their places are at the network, who's going to be the new leadership.”
