Seas are rising, and cities throughout the world are responding to it differently.
The oceans are rising. Untold millions in coastal cities around the world are threatened. But the Dutch are proving we may not all have to run for higher ground. And their message is catching on in the US.
Scientists predict oceans will continue to rise significantly this century and beyond, and non-profit Climate Central has developed a tool to peek into the future of coastal flooding.
The map below allows you to zoom into any city in the world. The bar on the bottom left allows you to increase and decrease water level, then showing how much of a given city will be underwater should seas rise to that point.
