A potentially big trend in the world of Internet TV: Acton startup Azuki Systems is trying to give cable companies and telecoms an edge in their battle with Web video players like Netflix, Hulu, and Aereo. The startup makes software that helps deliver video to TVs and mobile devices in an effort to provide a more personalized viewing experience. Azuki is part of a major cluster of Boston-area video-delivery companies that includes Brightcove, SeaChange, and Akamai.

-Cambridge-based Agios Pharmaceuticals has filed paperwork for an $86 million IPO. The five-year-old company is working on new kinds of cancer drugs but hasn’t started clinical trials yet. It’s part of a trend of biotech IPOs happening earlier in the drug development cycle.
-Meanwhile, LearnLaunchX is underway. The education-tech accelerator in Boston has kicked off its inaugural class of eight startups. The themes include tools for teachers, online course preparation, and test-grading software.
