At a recent performance at GBH’s Calderwood Studio, Boston Baroque performed “Prayer for Ukraine.” The beloved hymn, written in 1885 by Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko, asks God to protect Ukraine, to give it freedom and wisdom, and to guide it into a world of kindness.
