GBH Music Presents JazzNOW with TRIAD
GBH Music and JazzBoston kick off the 2025 JazzNOW series with a celebration of Hermeto Pascoal, one of Brazil's most iconic and genre-defying composers. This mesmerizing Latin jazz performance features TRIAD, a powerhouse trio that brings together three world-class musicians: multi-Grammy award-winning Peruvian bassist Oscar Stagnaro, acclaimed pianist Maxim Lubarsky, and multi-Grammy and Latin Grammy award-winning drummer Mark Walker. Renowned for their mastery of Latin jazz and improvisational brilliance, the trio will explore Pascoal's rich repertoire and adventurous spirit, blending his lush harmonies, dazzling rhythms, and intricate melodies with fresh interpretations. For this special performance, TRIAD is joined by renowned Puerto Rican saxophonist Edmar Colón.

Joshua Redman on Quincy Jones, singing through the saxophone, and exploring America’s classic songs
Joshua Redman is one of the most versatile saxophonists working today, having come to prominence in the early 90s and working with everyone from Quincy Jones to the Rolling Stones. His newest album, with vocalist Gabrielle Cavassa, is “where are we.” Al Davis and Va Lynda Robinson spoke with him before his show at Berklee Performance Center on Friday, November 8th.

JazzNOW: Master Jazz Composers — Live At GBH
GBH and JazzBoston presented JazzNOW: Master Jazz Composers, originally streamed live from the beautiful Fraser Performance Studio at GBH on October 1, 2021, with host Eric Jackson. The performance featured Bill Pierce on saxophone, Alex Minasian on piano, Gregory Ryan on bass and Yoron Israel on drums. They performed compositions by noted jazz masters Cedar Walton and Duke Pearson, both of whom have contributed significantly to the language of modern jazz. -
