Norma Waterson died on January 30th at age 82. Raised by her grandmother in the Yorkshire port of Hull, she was part of a family that has become recognized as "English Folk Royalty." Married to Martin Carthy since 1972, the couple continued to perform into recent times with their daughter Eliza, continuing to pass on the tradition.
