The pianist Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin died in 2018. Known for his innovation around traditional music on his instrument, Ó Súilleabháin also helped launch the Gaelic Roots Festival at Boston College, and played a key role in the development and growth of the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in Limerick.
Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin visited with A Celtic Sojourn host, Brian O'Donovan in 2003 and they covered a wide variety of subjects. He also got to play on the WGBH Steinway Grand Piano then housed at WGBH's studios in Brighton.
