For over three decades, Brian O’Donovan has been hosting A Celtic Sojourn, exploring traditional and contemporary music from around the Celtic world. In partnership with Rockport Music, and working in close collaboration with Artistic Director Maeve Gilchrist, O'Donovan couldn't have been more thrilled to be a part of the first annual Rockport Celtic Festival this past weekend at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, MA.
Featuring an extraordinary variety of new and familiar musicians, singers, dancers, and storytellers, the weekend focused on the Celtic's broad and vibrant range with a strong emphasis on crossover and collaborative work between musicians. There were mainstage concerts, workshops, intimate salon-style sessions, and much more. The audience and performers alike couldn't have asked for a more lively and incredible weekend of events.
