On March 2, 2019, Brian O’Donovan broadcast A Celtic Sojourn live from the WGBH Studio at the Boston Public Library, where a live audience was treated to a fun-filled afternoon chock full of family, and traditional Celtic music from the trio Randall/Martin/Perlman, as well as Dervish , an iconic Irish band that’s been playing together for more than 25 years.
Brian was also joined by Newton natives Ari and Mia , whose music references the styles of Southern and Northeastern fiddle music, and the early American songbook. Their sophisticated sound, and innovative approach to songwriting, resulted in a truly captivating sound.
