On March 2, 2019, Brian O’Donovan broadcast A Celtic Sojourn live from the WGBH Studio at the Boston Public Library, where a live audience was treated to a fun-filled afternoon chock full of family, and traditional Celtic music from the trio Randall/Martin/Perlman, as well as Dervish, an iconic Irish band that’s been playing together for more than 25 years.
Brian was also joined by Newton natives Ari and Mia, whose music references the styles of Southern and Northeastern fiddle music, and the early American songbook. Their sophisticated sound, and innovative approach to songwriting, resulted in a truly captivating sound.
