Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker formed the supergroup boygenius after touring together, but it should come as no surprise that the trio had subconsciously been in the works for longer than that. Their show last night at The Orpheum came with four sets chock full of good music; Dacus opening the evening, followed by Bridgers and her band. Baker played the final solo set before the trio took the stage together to finish off one lyrically and musically arresting show, demonstrating that these artists are well on their way to building a musical empire.
