I love pretty much everything about cold weather — including getting outside to play in it, be it skiing, sledding, or making snowforts with my daughter. But the only thing better is coming back inside to a warm drink. This nonalcoholic hot toddy goes down smooth, with the added benefit of soothing the nagging sore throat I always seem to have this time of year. Great for kids, too — just make sure to let it cool before serving to the little ones!

Ingredients:

  • 5oz tea (chamomile blends well with the spices)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 lemon wedge

Directions:

Add the honey, lemon juice, cinnamon, cloves, and ground nutmeg to a mug. In a separate mug, brew your tea of choice, then pour the tea over the other ingredients and stir until combined. Garnish with the lemon wedge.
