Burro Bar, Brookline

Burro Bar in Brookline for a tasty meal in a stylish space. “In a competitive field—LoneStar, Naco Taco, and Tacqueria Jalisco are excellent—but there’s something about Burro’s menu I find consistently delicious," she said. "The short rib taco is a crowd-pleaser and critic favorite, but my heart belongs equally to the Baja-style fried fish taco and the roasted squash taco. Paired best with their house margarita on the rocks, no salt.”

La Catrina, Brighton

La Catrina, a small taqueria in Brighton. “I’m a true fan of Mexican food, and this is one of my top spots. I find it to have a real authentic flavor," he said. "It’s probably the only place in Boston where tacos and enchiladas remind me of the meals I had on my trip to Mexico City. The prices are good and the staff is very friendly. It’s a great spot for Taco Tuesday, too!”

Baja Box, Quincy

Baja Box, a seasonal gem on Wollaston Beach. "Baja Box makes the best Baja style fish tacos—grilled or fried—with a lot of great flavor and toppings," said Lin. "Sadly they are only open during the warm weather months and you can’t have them all year round!”
"They also do ice cream, so after enjoying your tacos you can get a twist and walk across the street to the beach and enjoy in the sun looking at the skyline," Mullin said. "10/10 would recommend.”

Davis Square is home to

"Bonus points because it’s truly authentic and you can pair your tacos with a cold beer!”

Taquería México Lindo for reasonably-priced Mexican treats. "I’m from Tucson and am consequently on a never-ending hunt for Mexican food. My top spot is Taquería México Lindo in Lynn, because of the price ($2 per taco) and the variety of fillings," said Tingle. "The Tripa and Al Pastor are my favorite. They also serve nopales and have a huge jar of pickled vegetables on the counter, both of which remind me of home!”
