On a dreary, overcast Friday afternoon, Beat The Press' Emily Rooney is content.
"This is going to sound really bizarre,” she said, "but I’m really glad when the weather is horrible. ‘Cause it sort of plays into the whole doom and gloom. If it’s beautiful outside, then you can’t really do anything to enjoy it. I’d rather have it be terrible outside."
On Friday, Rooney returned to Boston Public Radio to talk about former Vice President Joe Biden, CNN News anchor Anderson Cooper’s new baby, and to read her weekly list of fixations and fulminations.
This week, she peered into her crystal ball to compile a list of all the everyday habits we’ll be leaving behind in a post-coronavirus world.
“Obviously, number one is handshaking,” she said. "I just don’t think there will ever be casual handshaking again.”
Rooney also predicted the end of cash transactions, department stores' changing rooms, public pools, and much more.
