The couple behind Myers + Chang, Christopher Myers and Joanne Chang, joined Boston Public Radio on Friday. The pair are also the co-owners of Flour Bakery, which is opening up its ninth location in Beacon Hill.
While the bakery has extended to nine locations, Chang says that they'll keep their restaurant to just one location. "With the restaurant, we've decided to keep it singular and special," she said.
The pair enjoy eating at many other Chinese restaurants throughout Boston, Myers noted, but they've noticed that demand is down in Chinatown amid coronavirus fears.
"We walked through the other night and the Chinatown restaurants were really, I think, suffering because of the coronavirus," Myers said. "It's a far way from Boston, and those restaurants are delicious."
Chang's newest book is "Pastry Love: A Baker's Journal of Favorite Recipes."
