In the face of global pollinator decline and plastics infiltrating the depths of the ocean, two local entrepeneurs are zooming back in on environmental issues with business ventures to fight climate change.

Sarah Levy of Cambridge low-waste personal and home care supply store Cleenland and Samantha Putos of Medford-based sustainable lip balm company Bee Balm joined Boston Public Radio on Friday for our weekly news quiz.

Bee Balm aims to reinvigorate pollinator populations, and donates a portion of annual profits to organizations that are involved in re-pollination.

Cleenland is a "one step at a time" store that encourages sustainability and waste reduction, according to Levy.

"The more folks are encouraged and accepted in their changes, they tend to make more changes," she said.
