A little rain didn’t stop the party at this weekend’s first annual BAMS Festival. Franklin Park was still celebrating and with good reason -- the lineup was chock full with some of Boston's best musical and spoken-word artists, including STL GLD, Latrell James, and Jha D.
“I’m tired of people talking," BAMS Fest founder, curator, and executive director Catherine Morris tells gregcookland.com in a recent interview. "You’ve just got to do it,” she says. The Boston Arts & Music Soul Festival (BAMS Fest) is an organization that celebrates Afro-centric culture, and is on a mission to break down racial and social barriers to the arts across Greater Boston.
