The Great American Read was an eight-part PBS television series, hosted by Meredith Vieira, that wrapped up last night with the unveiling of America's favorite novel. Beginning in June, PBS launched a multi-platform digital, educational and community outreach campaign that included an online poll for viewers to vote for their favorite novel from a list of 100 books.
