STL GLD performs live at GBH for a Front Row Boston socially-distant session. The Boston-based group (Moe Pope, The Arcitype, Christopher Talken, Jonathan Ulman, and Tim Hall) continually pushes beyond hip-hop traditions with genre-bending compositions that speak to the complex cultural and economic issues of our times. In 2019 they debuted their socially charged album The New Normal at the Museum of Fine Arts as a pop-up listening session, making the statement that hip-hop is a valuable artform steeped in a history of resistance and resilience. In 2018, STL GLD was voted "Live Artist of the Year" at the Boston Music Awards and named "Boston's Best Band" by Improper Bostonian.
This performance was recorded on April 13, 2021.
