Ruston Kelly came in on a calm spring day to perform a beautiful acoustic set in our Fraser Performance Studio. Accompanied by his father, Tim "TK" Kelly on guitar, he played songs from his album Dying Star, and a new unrecorded song.
The 2018 NPR Slingshot artist began songwriting in his teens leading to a publishing deal with BMG Nashville in 2013. That year, he placed “Nashville Without You” with Tim McGraw, who recorded it for the album Two Lanes of Freedom. Kelly’s earned critical acclaim and recognition through his subsequent solo releases, impressive Spotify streams, and marriage to country singer Kacey Musgraves.
