Series Brings Back Free, In-Person Events to GBH Boston Public Library Studio

Boston (December 3, 2021) - Today, GBH presents Holiday Music and Musings, a celebration of local talent during the month of December, bringing back free, in-person events to GBH’s Boston Public Library Studio. The series kicks off with a holiday performance by Jamaica Plain’s Sheffield Chamber Players and concludes with a Christmas country music set performed by local country star Ayla Brown on Thursday, December 16.

“We are thrilled to be in our GBH Studio at the Boston Public Library to showcase local talent and come together as a community to celebrate the holiday season,” said Linda Polach, Director of the GBH Studio at the Boston Public Library. “After a long year of many uncertainties due to COVID, it is our hope that audience members from throughout the region can find a bit of comfort and joy in safely reengaging with their neighbors at these free and festive events.”

The wide-ranging series features a preview of Brian O’Donovan’s Christmas Celtic Sojourn, a conversation with local author and psychologist Dr. Frank Anderson about getting along with friends and families during the holidays, and performances by the Boston Latin Academy Choir as well as the Sheffield Chamber Players and Ayla Brown.

A full schedule of the Holiday Music and Musings events follows and additional GBH events can be found here. Note that attendees will be required to wear a mask in the Newsfeed Café at all events unless eating or drinking. Capacity in the Newsfeed Café will be limited to 60 people.
