Boston (September 26, 2018) – WGBH invites the Greater Boston and New England community to the seventh annual Taste of WGBH: Food & Wine Festival, a celebration of New England’s finest restaurants, chefs and food artisans. Featuring award-winning chefs such as Chris Coombs (Deuxave, Boston Chops), Chandra Gouldrup (The Farmer’s Daughter), Colin Lynch (Bar Mezzana), Jeremy Sewall (Row 34, Island Creek Oyster Bar), Kathy Sidell (Saltie Girl, MET Back Bay), the Brass Sisters and others, the festival will run from Thursday, October 11 through Sunday, October 13 at WGBH in Brighton.
From the elegant Chef’s Gala to the Food Fight competition, guests are welcome to join for the entire weekend’s festivities, or choose from four unique events, including WGBH’s first-ever whole pig roast, which will take place during Saturday’s Artisan Taste event.

Sample the fine cuisine of 21 award-winning chefs along with pairings of wine and craft beer for each dish. Hosted by WGBH’s Jim Braude and Margery Eagan, the evening will feature live music, sweet surprises and elegant décor.
The Artisan Taste Saturday, October 13
VIP Early Access 2-3pm; General Admission Full Day 3-9pm; General Admission Half Day, this session includes the pig roast, 5 - 9pm

Chefs and local food artisans bring their creativity outside and coax enticing flavors from New England’s finest produce in the Grand Tasting Tent. Highlights include cooking demonstrations and talks in the culinary theater and the first Taste of WGBH Food and Wine Festival pig roast.
Brunch Bar Sunday, October 14

Savory or sweet? No need to choose at the Grand Tasting Brunch Bar. Popular restaurants and award-winning chefs will serve up local favorite brunch dishes side-by-side with refreshing wines, craft beers and ciders and cocktails made with local spirits. The winner of the Youth Culinary Award Competition will be announced.
Food Fight – Head 2 Head Challenge Sunday, October 14
5-8pm
WGBH Studios Backlot, One Guest Street, Brighton, MA
Twenty chefs compete head-to-head in 10 categories. A panel of pro judges will choose the winner in each category, but you pick the best bite of the day!
