In 1968, Say Brother launched on GBH, eventually transforming into the groundbreaking interview program Basic Black. Now, in 2025, this program has been reimagined as a multiplatform series that will include television broadcast, radio, and YouTube. Hosted by Paris Alston, the program centers on communities of color with timely discussion of current events, elevating underrepresented voices, and highlighting joy in the Black experience.
