Community Canvas is an initiative presented by The Culture Show where GBH features artwork from community members on our Digital Mural.
Today’s mural features Massiel Grullón’s Crimson Archway. This piece depicts a sacred spiritual space for the viewer, showing the sun radiating through multiple arches. Each arch represents rebirth, leaving the old behind and welcoming the new through sunlight.
Grullón is a Boston-based Dominican artist and studied painting and graphic design at Montserrat College of Art. Her artwork encapsulates a sense of nostalgia, harmony, and interactivity, spanning across various genres, including portraits, abstract, graphic design, and murals.
