Community Canvas is an initiative presented by The Culture Show where GBH features artwork from community members on our Digital Mural.
Today’s mural, Genesis by Visi Tilak, visualizes the universe, spiritual faith, and supporting ecosystems.
“My work is modern yet traditional with threads from mandalas and Indian folk art,” Tilak says. “This ties in with my exploration on themes of unity, oneness, and diversity by merging abstract and modern with culture and tradition.”
An immigrant from India, Tilak is a fine artist who dabbles in pastels, mixed media, mosaics, clay, and wearable art.
