The mission of the Mambo Legends Orchestra is to keep the sounds of the great Afro-Cuban bandleaders Machito, Tito Puente, and Tito Rodriguez alive. These musicians provide a link to 1940s New York, a time when the Machito Orchestra first fused big-band sound with the rhythms of Africa, Cuba, and Puerto Rico.
