How time flies! You might say its tempo is Allegro. We have reached the last weekend of Classical CRB's weekly live broadcasts from Tanglewood! It was wonderful to return to the BSO's beautiful retreat in the Berkshires and we already look forward to next year's summer season.
Tonight at 8pm, BSO Assistant Conductor Anna Rakitina leads Elgar’s Enigma Variations, Elena Langer’s Figaro Gets a Divorce, and Ravel’s jazz-infused Piano Concerto in G, with soloist Jean-Yves Thibaudet.
And tomorrow evening at 7pm it’s an all-Brahms concert with Leonidas Kavakos as the soloist in the Violin Concerto and Herbert Blomstedt conducting the Symphony No. 4, Sunday.
Until next year, listen to the joy and beauty of classical music on CRB Classical 99.5.
