GBH has partnered with classical music streaming service IDAGIO on a new concert series to bring classical music performances into the homes of listeners. For the first in the series, Gil Shaham, one of today’s most charismatic violinists, joins forces with the New York-based ensemble The Knights for Beethoven’s singular Violin Concerto, a piece that embodies all of the passion, drama, and humanity that make the composer an irreplaceable musical touchstone. With CRB host Brian McCreath, Shaham brings his signature warmth and artistic insight to a special chamber ensemble version of the concerto, performed with strict adherence to public health safety guidelines in GBH’s Fraser Performance Studio.
