Jan Ross called the growing tide of Anti-Americanism a new global ideology, but a closer look reveals that things are not as dire as they may seem. Though public opinion polls in Europe do cite widespread dismay with America's presence in the global arena, behind the surveys about "why they hate us" lies a reservoir of goodwill waiting to be tapped.
