FRONTLINE Managing Director of Digital Video Carla Borras, Production Assistant Kenzie Audette, and Editor Barry Clegg take you on a journey into the wild world of Virtual Reality. The award-winning investigative PBS series FRONTLINE has produced multiple VR projects and will share the lessons they have learned while working in this emerging medium. They breakdown some of the challenges they’ve faced, offer detail on production considerations and techniques for how you can start creating VR effectively today. Barry Clegg has been professional editor within the Boston area for the last ten years. With extensive knowledge of non-linear edit systems as well as animation programs, he continually provides high end productions for his clients including those within the broadcast, retail, corporate, health care and financial industries. Barry’s work in post production started back in high school participating in the country’s only high school internship program with Avid Technologies and continued through college through internships with Reebok and the National Association of Broadcasters. At Cramer Productions in Norwood, MA Barry was a Senior Editor for one of the largest post-production departments in New England. Along the way Barry has worked on a number of short films, being part of the only two time winner of the Boston 48 Hour Film Project, with the second film “Conversion” being an official selection to the Cannes Film Festival. Throughout the years Barry has built up an extensive client base including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Jordan’s Furniture, PBS Frontline, Progress Software, Siemens, Subway Sandwiches, The Boston Globe, Fidelity Investments, Solidworks, and EMD Serono.
