Ericka Hampson and Blythe Robertson are both producers in the film industry who had their fair share of hard knocks on the road to success. They talk openly about breaking into the business, budgets, the rolodex, choosing a good script and the joys of having some good luck.
**Erika Hampson** began producing films in 2005, with the debut of the short film \_Five Minutes, Mr. Welles\_ starring and directed by Vincent D’Onofrio. Since then, she has gone on to produce many projects, including the 2010 Academy Award winning short\_ The New Tenants\_. In recent years, Hampson produced the feature films \_The Love Guide\_ with Parker Posey, Robot and Frank, directed by Jake Schreier and starring Frank Langella, \_Days and Nights,\_ starring Katie Holmes, Allison Janney and William Hurt, as well as \_Two Night Stand,\_ directed by Max Nichols, produced by Beau Flynn and Ruben Fleischer. Hampson's most recent projects include \_Infinitely Polar Bear\_, featuring Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldana, John Slattery’s directorial debut \_God’s Pocket\_, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, \_Tumbledown\_ with Jason Sudeikis and Rebecca Hall, \_The Runner,\_ a political thriller starring Nicolas Cage, Sarah Paulson, Peter Fonda and Connie Nielsen, Reed Morano’s directorial debut \_Meadowlands\_, starring Olivia Wilde and Luke Wilson, Vincent N Roxxy starring Zoe Kravitz and Emile Hirsch and \_The Layover\_, directed by William H. Macy.
**Blythe Robertson** most recently executive produced \_Love Is Strange\_, Ira Sach’s highly acclaimed film starring John Lithgow, Alfred Molina and Marisa Tomei, which premiered at Sundance 2014, was distributed by Sony Pictures Classics and nominated for four Independent Spirit Awards. She also co- produced the revival of Broadway’s \_Side Show\_ directed by Bill Condon. Previously, Robertson produced \_About Sunny\_, starring Lauren Ambrose, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, garnered an Independent Spirit Award nomination and was awarded the Grand Jury Prize at Boston IFF 2012. Blythe was line producer on the PBS series, \_God In America\_, an American Experience/FRONTLINE co-production. Other projects include \_The People v. Leo Frank\_, winner of the Special Jury Award at History Makers 2010 and The History Channel’s Emmy-nominated, \_Desperate Crossing: The Untold Story of the Mayflower\_. Robertson is currently developing writer/director Emily Abt’s next feature \_Audrey’s Run\_ starring Paula Patton and Mike Epps which will shoot in Boston in 2016. Blythe is a member of the Producer’s Guild of America and the Massachusetts Production Coalition.
