The news cycle moves quicker than ever these days, and there are plenty of podcasts to help you keep up with it. What sometimes gets lost, though, is the deeper understanding of how our political system works, and how you can become more involved in it. Nick Capodice
Nick Capodice is a co-host, producer, and education outreach coordinator for Civics 101 out of NHPR. In addition to the show, he is working on co-mingling civics episodes with educational materials for classrooms across the nation.

Hannah McCarthy
Hannah was discovered on Civics 101’s doorstep swaddled in a 13-star American flag with a copy of the Federalist Papers tucked into her baby basket. She has grown to be a producer on the show. Her kryptonite seems to be the Gettysburg Address spoken in reverse. Hannah brings a refined touch to the station by dressing exclusively in replicas of First Lady inaugural ball dresses, and is able to recite the constitutional amendments, verbatim, on command.

Jenna Spinelle
Jenna Spinelle loves a good story and has spent the past 10 years telling them as a journalist, marketing professional, and most recently, as a podcaster. She hosts and produces the Democracy Works podcast, a collaboration between the McCourtney Institute for Democracy at Penn State and WPSU Penn State, central Pennsylvania’s NPR station. When she’s not podcasting, Jenna plans and executes all of the McCourtney Institute’s external communications. She also teaches journalism in Penn State’s Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications and works with national and international clients as a freelance writer and content strategist.

Michael Baranowski
**Michael Baranowski** is a political scientist with a Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. His focus is American political institutions, public policy, and media. He spends most of his time indoctrinating students at Northern Kentucky University.

Mila Atmos
Mila Atmos, a global citizen based in New York City, is the producer and series host of Future Hindsight, a weekly podcast that aims to spark civic engagement through in-depth conversations with citizen changemakers. What most informs Mila's worldview is her belief that American democracy is a living, breathing mechanism whose wellbeing deserves to be cultivated and protected. Mila combines life experiences from living in multiple cultures ranging from Indonesia to Germany to the rural U.S. with her knowledge base in history, economics, and international affairs (B.A. & M.I.A. Columbia University) in creating Future Hindsight.
