**Cristina Quinn** got her onair start at WGBH as Weekend Edition anchor in 2010 and has done in-depth reporting on innovations in technology, health and social issues. She got bit by the radio beast when living in Japan and asked to host a local weekly radio show titled, “Let’s English!” After 3 years of teaching English to high school kids via Beatles songs, Cristina returned to the U.S. and entered the visual and media arts graduate program at Emerson College where she earned an M.A. in documentary and audio production. She holds a B.A. in journalism from UMass Amherst, where she also minored in Japanese. She grew up in Dorchester and knows what parish you’re from.
