Nina Ott, pianist/keyboardist, has worked with top jazz musicians and was a house pianist at the Green Mill Jazz Club. Her involvement with the Latin Jazz, and Salsa community in San Francisco led her to perform in the San Jose and Stanford Jazz Festivals. She now leads her own Latin Jazz Sextet. Nina has played with Jeff Parker, Ralph Peterson, Vincent Chandler, Andrew Bishop, Steve Fell, Mark Turner, John Calloway’s Latin Collective, Leonard King, Gerald Cleaver and Kenwood Dennard. Nina has taught at Berklee College of Music, Stanford Jazz Workshop, and teaches workshops on Jazz and Afro Caribbean Jazz throughout New England. More at: https://www.ninaottmusic.com/about
CHRIS LOPES, drummer, has been a performer, composer and educator for many decades. Chris teaches guitar, ukulele, upright and electric bass, drums, percussion and composition. He specializes in American popular music, including rock/pop, jazz, blues, country and soul. Chris has performed worldwide, and has performed in a wide variety of venues. He can be heard on recordings by Astronomico, The Ott/Lopes Project, Jared Sims, The Jeff Parker Trio and many more. His compositions have been featured in The New York Times, Jazziz magazine and on NPR.
John McKenna, saxophonist, composer and teacher, has toured the US and Europe, recorded a number of studio albums, and has performed with a number of different bands. In addition to his music talent, he creates sculptural art. Resonant Structure combines 3D forms and materials with improvisations, compositions, and light sources. McKenna currently teaches at a number of universities and colleges while continuing to write, record, and perform music and create different artworks.
