Pie season is here. And if you're like us, you're always working on a game plan for how you're going to eat as much of it as possible.
We're here to help. We've created a list of stops in Boston to include as part of your strategy. Fruit pies, chocolate pies, cream pies... they're all there. You can also pre-order pies from all of these places. Shave a little stress off of making it yourself and pick up a couple of these babies instead? Nobody will be sad, we promise.
Rosebud American Kitchen & Bar
Honest, down to earth comfort food is the foundation of the menu at Rosebud. And that includes pie. Their dessert case is always stocked with a rotating variety.
But there is ONE that you can always rely on to be there, no matter what day or season it is. It's Rosebud's award-winning Peanut Butter Fudge Pie. A chocolate cookie crust is topped with a dark chocolate ganache, a light and fluffy peanut butter mouse, and finished with a sprinkle of chopped peanuts. This pie is rich and light at the same time, and every bite is absolutely dreamy (meaning you will dream about it).

Petsi Pies
No post about pie would be acceptable without a Petsi mention; they've got some of the best in town. But don't take our word for it — earlier this year Buzzfeed ranked them as the best place to get pie in Massachusetts, according to Yelp.
You can get pretty much any type of pie you'd like at Petsi's, but we can't get enough of their Cherry Crumb Pie. A thick, flaky crust is filled to the brim with a fresh, sweet cherry filling, and finished off with a crisp and buttery crumb topping. This pie is a true cherry bomb.
Or if you have your heart set on chocolate, and you happen to stop by Petsi's during the right time of year (limited availability), you must get their Mississippi Mud Pie. It's a powerhouse made with a crumbly cookie crust and a dense fudge filling, layered with chunks of brownie/cake and drizzled with chocolate syrup. It's decadent and rich, and a true slice of heaven.

Mike's Pastry
We all love the signature white box from Mike's; tied up nicely with a string bow. What a happy place it is when you finally get home and unwrap it to find your favorite pastry laying neatly at the bottom of it just waiting to be enjoyed.
Ever think about what it would feel like to open one of those babies up and find a pie? Well you can. Mike's does pie, and they does pie good. And their Ricotta Pie is out of this world. The classic Italian dessert is made with sweetened ricotta cream that's baked in a pastry dough, creating a rich, almost cheesecake-like texture. It's heavenly and delicious.

Flour Bakery + Cafe
As you can imagine, there's no shortage of pie being baked in the kitchen(s) at Flour. They bake for seasons and holidays, and have a regular menu of options that include a perfect Chocolate Cream, a Mile High Lemon Meringue and Seasonal Fruit pies. They're all wonderful, but it's their Coconut Cream Pie that we can't stop thinking about. Coconut custard and whipped cream top a flaky pie crust, and is finished with a sprinkle of coconut that's toasted to perfection.
What we love most about Flour is that you can get all of their pie offerings as mini tartlets, making it easy to sample each of them. Holiday bonus: grab a selection for your upcoming party and please a crowd. You can even buy Flour's signature flaky pie crust at any location and fill with your own toppings. Brilliant!

Veggie Galaxy
There’s no skimping on the baked goods at Veggie Galaxy. Cakes, donuts, muffins, cheesecake, they have it all and that certainly includes pie. They're serving up several types including seasonal pies chock full of fresh fruit.
But our favorite is the Mile High Lemon Meringue Pie. It’s 9” of magnificent lemon meringue made with lemon and an exotic passion fruit juice, sitting atop a graham cracker crust and topped with a bouncy mound of vegan meringue that’s been caramelized just right.
Yup, everything they make is 100% vegan. Including this pie and 100% delicious.

Parker's Restaurant at The Omni Parker House
Ahh, the original Boston Cream Pie. The culinary creation of Boston's own Omni Parker House, and the official “Massachusetts State Dessert”.
We realize this isn't a traditional pie in the sense that it's not a filling encased in a flaky crust. In fact, the Boston Cream Pie is not a pie at all, but a wonderful two layer golden cake filled with a decadent pastry cream, encased in a chocolate ganache.
So what's it doing here? Well it's still an icon. More important is that it's absolutely delicious.
