HBO's "I May Destroy You" is one of the best things on TV this summer, television expert Bob Thompson told Boston Public Radio on Monday. "It's about surviving and coming to grips with a rape, and it's subtle, it's disturbing, it's challenging, it's beautifully written and acted, and really like nothing else on television."

Bob Thompson is a founding director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture and a trustee professor of television and popular culture at Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
