Media scholar Bob Thompson, the founding director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture at Syracuse University, said that while the concept was not an example of highbrow television, he thought it was a novel way of experiencing television.
Thompson also recommended viewers tune into CNN’s marathon event Wednesday night dedicated to climate change. The event will feature 10 presidential candidates speaking for 40 minutes each about their approach to tackling global warming, environmental protection and the impact of climate change.
Thompson is a professor and founding director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse.
